the Prophesy of the Blind Seeress

listen! but warp and weft's pure tone
far to great to hear alone
from the rod and weal's cruel bite
sent to keep good from the right
while Sunna sleeps, before the dawn--
shall unwitting flesh become a pawn
but two things, old secrets new
these, 'less forced, shalt be true

the first, of natural rising tide of Earth, of stone, the Sea's true bride strong as a mountain, an anchor be incomplete but cannot see keeper of souls on sacred isle speaker of truth none can defile bringer of power, of blood's downfall of blood's redemption, mendeth all

the second , of whelming need begot, hangs in balance, but know it not of cave, of wood, the Tree's true heir beware Kikurs, embattled air Faith and Gamble, when doth they meet Change, unwilling feeds defeat keeper of kings, of races torn surrender: worlds shall be unborn

keep this counsel; know it through for none would hope all words be true.
