I love DIY, and maybe I’ll do more of it someday (I’m looking at you, Pinterest board). [amazon asin=1451698593&template=thumbnail]This book would be a good start, although some of the projects aren’t for me. The instructions in this craft instruction book are clear and easy to follow for even the novice crafter, and you can scan the photos for links to step-by-step tutorial videos (I didn’t use this option, but it’s nice to know such things exist). The crafts are pretty low intensity, though not everything is cheap. P.S. includes some dyeing, sewing, and gluing projects, and after most of the short party-themed sections there is a super-simple “Craft Math” section showing how to combine two or three items into one new project. If you’re hosting a party and want some easy DIY decorations (there are even some fashion projects here), take a look at this. I was unaware of the author’s website before this, but I’ll be sure to check it out soon.
