thank God this computer is working….

waiting for a gel to run, yet again. So, here’s the Friday Five.
1. What was/is your favorite subject in school? Why? at various times in my life: art, biology and/or the sciences. Because, at different points in my life, I wanted to be an artist or a scientist. Occasionally I wanted to be a construction worker, but only if I got to work with wooden blocks 🙂
2. Who was your favorite teacher? Why?Mrs. Seppe…Mrs. Coleman…Mrs. Bruggeman. All elementary school. Mr. Shoenberger cause he was just cool. He had live animals in his classroom and he had a ponytail. My chemistry teacher Dr. B, who helped me get an A…Mrs. Blackenstein even though she gave me my first C in freshman english…she was just so damn funny 🙂 and Dr. Genin, cause he got so mixed up when teaching dynamics and trying to help us on our design project that he’d have to start the entire blackboard-covering equation over again…just like me.
3. What is your favorite memory of school?umm. going to state senior year, all by myself, and getting 6th place in the state of Missouri.
4. What was your favorite recess game?Red Rover, definitely. You got to run fast and show your strength.
5. What did you hate most about school? Math. As I’ve said, I am a math-impaired engineer.fridayfivefridayfivefridayfive

I miss everybody. I wish I could talk to y’all more. I wanted to get online last night but I was too tired.

That and the fact that we were watching the Concert for America. Man, there were some good performances. Josh Groban sang the national anthem and there was a wonderful symphonic rendition of “A Gift to be Simple”. And later on Leno the Goo Goo Dolls sang “American Girl.” Sigh. One day I’ll have a rock band 🙂

yeah. Waiting for a gel to run.

I can’t believe it’s been a year

This time last year I was still in school, hadn’t started either of my blogs, hadn’t started running the best track season I’d ever have, was still freaking out about Transport phenomena, and didn’t know to wish Coach a happy birthday.
I’ll light a candle later tonight. Never Forget was the Club 101 phrase of the day. And there’s no way I ever could. I guess every generation has its “Kennedy moment” but I wish this one didn’t have to be so horrific.
I have deep regret that I never got to go to New York before the towers were destroyed. But I do hope to someday make it to the memorial. I saw it on tv once, the two shining columns of light streaming up to the sky. Never Forget indeed.
life is precious and fleeting: make the most of it. much love to all of you, and my prayers and compassion for the victims and their families. God Bless.

Hey hon! Did you miss me? I sure missed ya.

Read the last chapter for Human Development and it was good. I loved how you ended it. But I’m sure you got my comment on your other blog.

Legolas… *THUD!* I love that there are new pics finally! Its about blasted! time you know?

About my news, its not that big anymore unfortunately. I’ll let you know what it is either when I see you online or email. I would call ya but my sis is in town and she doesn’t know about my online friends. If she did, she would ban me from the internet.

*muwah!*

Let my heart be wise. It is the gods’ best gift.

Look not mournfully into the past. It comes not back again. Wisely improve the present. It is thine. Go forth to meet the shadowy future, without fear.

This or That

1. Paper or plastic? plastic… unless it’s snowy outside.

2. Stripes or plaid?plaid. Stewart or Campbell.

3. Baseball or football? Baseball. I don’t understand why people feel the need to ram into people over a little ball of leather.

4. TV or movies? TV on weeknights. Movies on weekends.

5. Craig Kilborn or Conan O’Brien? Umm, neither. I’m not up that late. Or rather, if I am up that late I’m not watching tv.

6. Amazon or BN.com? Amazon.

7. Yahoo or Google? Google. You always find something.

8. Star Trek or Star Wars? Star Wars. I want to be a Jedi.

9. Cats or dogs? Cats. Especially the big ones. Most especially mountain lions.

10. Is that for here or to go? I like to eat in, usually, but to go means you can watch whatever you want at home, or read during dinner…
