Somebody tell me…should I keep the flooble up there? no one uses it. of course, no one comments here at the blog either, so I’ll be lucky if anyone tells me anything…
and now onto the Monday Mission!
1. Who are your favorite cartoon characters? Gonna be traditional and say Mickey Mouse and Bugs Bunny. Tweety too.
2. Have you yet reached the point where you feel like you are from a different generation than today’s youth? I don’t have a cell phone, so whenever I see little girls with their trendy clothes gabbing in the mall, I feel old, and I wonder what the heck their parents were thinking letting them go to the mall alone at that age, in that outfit. lol. I sound like a Girl Scout troop leader.
3. What was the first Music Video that really impressed you? What made it so amazing? You know, I honestly can’t tell you. We didn’t have MTV when I was young, but I don’t remember the early videos…it could have been A-Ha’s “Take on Me” with the live-action/animation thing, or it could maybe even have been as late as Michael Jackson’s Black or White. Have you guessed by now that I don’t remember my childhood all that much? It was happy, I know that much, but I would suck at writing an autobiography.
4. Name a song and an era that comes to mind when you hear the word “Retro.” Anything Elvis and the 50s. Even though retro clothes have progressed into the 70s 🙂
5. How has your life been affected by HIV or AIDS? Aside from learning about it and having to go through more training as a lab tech, not too much.
6. Yesterday in the USA, we celebrated “Mothers Day,” a day where we honor the mothers in our lives. If you were on a “special day” nominating committee, who or what would you recommend that we create a day in honor of? Scientists.
7. Last week, we have several Tornadoes tore through many neighborhoods, destroying homes and devastating the lives of the residents. How would you feel if you lost every possession you owned? Or would it matter? How would you go on with your life? Egad that would be a lot of possessions. I’d be pretty sad, I hate to admit it. I know we’re not supposed to value material things, but why do you think I’m such a packrat? I’d be especially sad if I lost my books, but I stopped carrying all my Moonstone stuff with me because I don’t know what I’d do if I lost my story ideas. I’d move on, but I’d always wonder a) what I lost and b) what I could have done with it.
BONUS: Do you remember the 21st night of September?
not really…occasionally I remember the 26th, but for somewhat unhappy reasons…speaking of, where oh where has my ex gone? All his emails are kaput…
