This-or-That, July 1: Summer Fun!:
1. Lemonade or Ice Cold Beer? Lemonade, of course. Beer sucks.
2. Swimming pool or beach? Pool, as I don’t really live near a beach…anyone who goes swimming in the Mississippi is asking for it. Maybe the Gasconade, near my grandparents’ house…
3. Long weekends here & there, or a 2-week vacation? Depends on if I’m going anywhere for the 2 weeks. Usually I’m satisfied with the long weekends.
4. Destination: Acapulco or Hawaii? Hawaii. Then Acapulco
5. Destination: Mountains or Beach? Mountains.
6. Hotel/motel/B&B or camping? Camping.
7. Carefully planned vacation, or play it by ear? Mostly planned with a few opportunities for spontenaeity.
8. Sneakers or sandals? Sneakers.
9. Air-conditioning or fans? Fans.
10. Concerts in the park or baseball games? Concerts. Whenever I go to a game my team loses.
Monday Mission 3.26
When was the last time you said or were told the following, and more importantly, how did it feel to be you at that moment:
1. “It’s not you, it’s me.” Probably when talking to my mother. I hate it when I say that cause it usually means I’m in the wrong.
2. “I love you, but I’m not in love with you.” eeeggg. Alex’s party. ew. guilty, sad, pissed off.
3. “You just don’t get it!” More often, it’s “I just don’t get it…” again, when I’m talking to my parents. Or, embarassingly, when I’m talking to my boss(es).
4. “Do I look fat…” When I got my drivers license renewed last week (for NINE years! Sheesh. I’m gonna be nearly thirty….)
5. “I hate you!” I tend not to say that, cause it sounds so final. I say “I hate this,” or “I hate that we…” etc.
6. “If you really loved me…” My mom is the one who says that. I hate (see?) laying guilt trips on people, or having them on me. I usually fold. Not too strong of a will to resist, I guess.
7. “Not tonight…” Almost every Tuesday when Alex asks me to go to Tuner’s, the kareoke bar in ST. CHARLES…there have to be bars closer to home that have kareoke! Any ideas, please let me know…
BONUS: If we can solve any problem, then why do we lose so many tears? It’s a release. Yeah, right.
