Well, here it is. My last track conference. It’s 4:30 AM, for God’s sake, why can’t there be later flights? Sigh. Billy will be there. Let’s hope that the Atlanta heat is good for us and we win 🙂 I hope I beat Hallie (which sounds bad, but means I might go to Nationals) and I hope the 4×1 runs faster than we have for the last three weeks. Wish me much luck, and I hope I have fun. Dear Lord be with me and my teammates this weekend, make our feet fast and our jumps far or high and our throws long. And I’d really like to qualify for Nationals…. Much love to you. Ciao! Buenos suerte! Bon chance!

Once again I am NOT STUDYING! Did I mention how much I HATE biomech? But Lammy is cool.
I thought of this when I was working on my design project. I’m in a group of three people, both of whom always seemed to be doing more or talking more than me. I thought I was sort of like Legolas… always there, not saying much, but when I did do something it was of rather large importance, like when Lego killed the cave troll… he didn’t say anything, but he got the ugly mug! (okay, so my major thing was that I did the website, but whatever.) Hah. Yeah, anything to compare myself to Legolas.
it’s done, it’s done!
the presentation is over and the report is writ and now we just have the poster presentation, thank the Lord!
okay, just thought I’d gush.
well, that was an interesting experience. Gotta love all nighters. Been up since 9 am yesterday with little catnaps. Spent a looooong time in the computer lab. And the report didn’t get finished until today at noonish. Aie.
Thank God that’s over, now if I could just figure out biomechanics….
We’ve been in here so long that the computers are going through their nightly automatic reboot. Sigh. That’s pretty terrible. There’s a certain sort of poetic justice that the only all-nighters that I’ve ever pulled in college are all for BME classes. Three for BME 301a labs last spring, and this one. Sigh. just keep reminding yourself how much you wanted to be an engineer and how happy you’ll be tomorrow at this time… course, you’ll be sleeping!
Washington University in St. Louis Commencement Look at this, we have one!
Alma Mater
Dear Alma Mater,
Thy name is sweet to me.
Our hearts are all for thee
Fair Washington.
Thy halls shall honored be
Throughout this great country
For all eternity, Our Washington.
Those days of youth which
All of us spent with thee
Form a dear history,
Fair Washington.
Could they renewed be,
We’d live our days with thee
For all eternity, Our Washington.
All right, major crunch time, folks. Last full day before both presentation and report are due… and soon it will be over! But let’s hear it for the healthy sum of shit and a side order of hell that’s being served up today as we slide ever so quickly to the day of reckoning… Good Lord look down upon me in kindness, make my fingers swift and my mind sharp so that I may actually finish on time. Same goes for my lovely design partners who I fear got the lions share of the work. At least I know how to make websites. Be with us!
faaack you, suzi!
errm. you realize it’s late saturday night and I am at the computer lab. Ugh. designproject you can suck it!
Why doesn’t Billy come here and give me a massage, huh?
What other people accomplished at your age… At age 21:

Future robber baron Jay Gould began investing in the leather business and speculating in railroad stocks.

Kinda makes you feel a little inadequate, huh?
