Happy February
StandardI can’t believe it’s already February. Seems like this year is flying by. Mardi Gras and Super Bowl parties this weekend, and orgo exam 1 on Monday…guess which ones I shouldn’t be worrying about and which one I’m slightly freaked about. Oh yeah, and orgo lab 2. Blah. But at least we’re a little closer to Kingdom of Heaven. And HBP, of course 😉
for all of you who know I love Orlando, yes, I heard the news. Sure I’m happy he’s single again, but honestly? If he’s happy, I’m happy. If he isn’t, too bad. If someone would like to fly me out to LA and personally introduce me, then YAY! otherwise…I’ve read the press release about five times now, and every media outlet says the same thing. Imagine having to hand out a press release when you broke up with someone. Bah.
At least next week has both Mardi Gras and Chinese New Year. Funny how once again this year the two holidays are very close to each other. Last year they were on the same day, I think…and my daddy’s birthday is coming up. Wonder what I should get him?

StandardIn class…the fic that lead to the name of my ship. Not that it matters to you…yes, it’s Harry Potter related, but, gosh, it’s cute. Just a bit of fluff.
So today I brough a lot of leftovers that I cooked up last night and the grouchy old chinese lady who works here was in dire need of the microwave, so she took them out immediately after the buzzer went off. Which wasn’t really enough time, since it *was* a lot of food, but I came in, on time, to get it, and she goes, ‘Don’t tell me you’re going to eat all of that.’
I said, “no, I’ve got class tonight, so it’s for dinner too,” which is the truth, but I felt like saying something like, “as if it’s any of your business how much I eat, thank you very much.” But I didn’t, because I’m polite. She’s just grouchy, like I said. Ah well. Can’t please everyone. Though now she probably thinks I’m some sort of piggy overeater. Sigh.
No comments on the new layout? Not that any of you know about it. Bah.

StandardWell, in case you haven’t heard, Johnny Carson died yesterday. I think he was the best Tonight Show host there was or will be…that’s who I’ll always associate with the TS. It’s nice to see the retrospective stuff they’ve had up on the networks…boy, people must have been scrambling to get it ready so quickly. Although they said he’d been very sick for a while so maybe it was just a matter of when, rather than if. Although I have to admit…I thought he died a lot earlier, I guess since he was very private after he retired. I didn’t know he was still around. Ah well. We’ll miss you, Johnny.
In happier news, JK Rowling had her baby (a girl) last night, so perhaps now that she’s no longer a) writing book 6 and b) pregnant we can get book 7 that much quicker. Ah well. Probably not, since they’ll want to milk this year for all they can get… a book AND a movie, wow. There will be countdowns galore, just you wait.
The high school drama alumni performance went well, I think.
