1. Front or rear wheel drive? Front-wheel. Cause that’s what we got.
2. Car or truck or van? Car, if it were my choice…van for the art shows.
3. Fancy or utilitarian? Utilitarian. I just need air, a tape player, and an engine that runs without too much trouble.
4. Power or manual windows/locks? We’ve got both. I like power, but it sucks that you can’t roll down the windows when the car is off.
5. Small econobox or giant luxo cruiser? econobox
6. Factory or aftermarket radio? factory cause I’m cheap. Besides, as long as I can turn it up loud enough to sing at the top of my lungs I’m happy.
7. Lease or buy? Buy! Leasing seems silly; why would you pay for something only to have to give it back?
8. Perform own maintenance or farm it out? Well, if I knew anything about cars, probably try to do it myself. Since I don’t, we take it to the shop. Grr.
9. Hi-test brand name or cheap-o fuel? I’d go for cheapo if I paid for most of the gas. But I don’t and the cars probably thank me, cause they run better on the brand-name. Only 89, though.
10. Run-it-till-the-wheels-fall-off or a new one every two years? While it would be nice to have a new car, we just don’t have the money to get one. Our next car will most likely be a used one, and still a long while off, as much as I need a car of my own now that I’m working. So, we run til the doors fall off. Literally.
