This or That: The Media Edition
1. TV or radio? Radio. (cds, anyway.)
2. On the radio: talk or music station? music. can’t stand talk radio unless it’s a science program. Not NPR!
3. Actual books or books-on-tape (or e-books)? actual books.
4. Actual newspaper, or web version? actual newspaper. I like writing on the crosswords.
5. Wall Street Journal or National Enquirer? Neither.
6. TV news…news channel such as CNN, or your local broadcast news? Local news.
7. A movie you’ve been looking forward to seeing gets bad reviews all around. See it anyway, or pass? Depends on why I wanted to see it in the first place. If it’s for an actor or actress I like, probably see it anyway. If it’s just that it sounds interesting but has a bad plot, well, that’s what cable’s for.
8. See movies when they first come out, or wait a few weeks for the lines at the theater to get shorter? Most movies have to wait for cable. Only a select few get premiere nights. Like Lord of the Rings, for example, or Pirates of the Caribbean…see a trend? haha.
9. TV: cable, satellite dish, or just plain old antenna? cable.
10. Thought-provoking question of the week: If you had to choose only one form of media to come into your home, which would you choose…print (newspapers, magazines) or electronic (TV, internet)? Why? Internet. As long as I could have a fast modem. Then you could practically get everything, and as long as the comp has a dvd drive, you’re all set…*coughcough* bootlegs *cough*
