PromoGuy’s Monday Mission 3.28
1. When was the last time you were in the hospital as a patient? As a visitor? I theoretically work in a hospital. The last time I went to the hospital as a patient was when I was about two and slammed my finger in a drawer. But the last time I was in one to visit someone…must have been back when my mom was having her surgery, high school time…
2. Have you ever been put under anesthesia or sedation? For what reason? Did it mess with your mind? No, thank goodness. I like to be in full possession of my senses, unless I’m getting drunk on purpose.
3. Have you (or someone close to you) ever had any major surgery? How did it go? Yes…my mother is still alive, so that’s very very good. Eh. More I could say, but I’ll keep her out of it.
4. How about the emergency room? Have you ever had to be taken there, or had to accompany someone else? What happened? We took Mom to the emergency room while we were on a campus visit to UMich. She had food poisoning. We didn’t have crab rangoon for a while after that.
5. Have you ever donated blood (or other fluids)? I have donated blood but I never seem to be around when they have the drives and I’m too lazy to go seek out a center.
6. Are you an Organ Donor? How do you feel about having your organs being donated to those in need once you die? Have you or someone you know ever been the recipient of donated organs? I should be a donor. It’s so good to have another name on the transplant list. Course, I still keep thinking I’ll be working on artificial organs someday…I’m a bit superstitious I suppose. Signing the back of your license seems a little like you’re asking for it. Eh. Guess I’ve got a good enough body to give it up. I don’t know why anyone would want my eyes though.
7. Do you know any men who refuse, or are too afraid, to go to see a Doctor? Why are so many men like that? My dad doesn’t go as often as he should. It goes back to that “won’t ask for directions” thing. They never seem to want to ask for help.
