Are you serious? You actually got the Legolas Stand up? You fortunate thing! I’m so jealous! The ones at Barnes and Nobles are shorter than he’s supposed to be. hehe, just to be picky mind you.
So glad you got your postcard. I was really starting to think if I typed up the right addy on the envelope. *lol* I’ll be sending you things out of the blue just because I can. I’m looking for something great. So sorry for not being able to get my butt online when you’re on. I’m going to be very good about it. Mom or no mom I’m coming!
Ring Thing
StandardNow that you’ve had the DVD for a while, what did you think of it? Did what you saw on the DVD in any way change or alter your perceptions of the film?
Did it hold up for you on the small screen?
How many times have you watched it?
Did you do anything special to commemorate its release?
Well, I just saw it this weekend, and since we finally got a dvd player at home, I can watch it as much as I want in the future, yay! I have to admit that it has so much better quality than the VHS, but I’m glad I have that one too cause it can be used in all tvs in the house. Here’s to the “art room” which now will have a tv/vcr! I don’t think anything changed with the way I think of the film, I still love it, and am still amazed at how long it takes Legolas to get on-screen 
Luckily with this new screen (which is technically the same size as the previous one) is just a little wider so the widescreen is not so squished. And the new tv has better sound too. I’ve seen the video once and the dvd once, hopefully will watch it again soon (while I’m making my costume, I hope). And y’all know that I spent and hour and a half (or so) outside Best Buy on the 5th of August, waiting for midnight (it was still90 degrees out, even at 11 pm) getting my free tshirt and FotR poster, and I got the VHS at 12:09 am. I actually got the dvd two days later, even though I wasn’t expecting to get it for another week. It was very exciting I have LotR stuff now! lol. And Lammy sent me a Gandalf postcard she got from Comicon.
Won’t it be cool when we get together next year? Whoohoo!

1. If I could guarantee that the Fashion Police would not lay the
smackdown on you, which favorite out-of-style article of clothing do you wish
you could wear right now? Well, I don’t know if they’ve ever been in style, at least on the Earth that we know, but wouldn’t it be cool if we could all wear Elvish clothing? For real, though, I think I’d like to get back to wearing those broomstick skirts, you know, the huge flowing ones made of silk or something like that? lol.
2. In your opinion, who is famous but shouldn’t be? Probably some of the new girl groups or the made for tv bands. Some of them are good, but some of them are so bad.
3. Are there any new movies or TV shows that you are forward to this fall?I’d like to see the CSI spinoff, and that Push, Nevada show looks interesting, although I’d never figure it out
4. If you had a time machine that you could use only one time (there and
back), where would you go and what would you do?Probably back to the middle ages, just so I could dress up. (Hey, would I get to keep the dress? lol.)
5. What cologne of perfume do you like to wear? Which brand do you prefer
that your partner wear?Right now I’m wearing AE Alive. I really like Bath&Body Works Happiness. I’d like to try Coco Mademoiselle if I ever had any money. And erm, I don’t have a partner, but if I did, I’d like him to wear Cool Water.
6. Do you recall your first “French kiss?” Tell me about how that felt,
and how it came about. Do you like them?Umm, I don’t actually remember the first time, but I know we did it… it was a little unusual. I just remember being caught up in the moment and loving every second that I was with him. Yeah. Until he remembered that he was a jerk. No, I’m not bitter.
7. Excluding your partner…If you had the opportunity, who would you most
like to Frech kiss? Orlando Bloom, of course. Or Jason Behr.

StandardI’m actually entertaining the idea of getting to bed on a different night than when I wake up, I’m so tired. 32-mile bike rides after a two-month hiatus tend to do that to you. I am going to hurt so much tomorrow.
At least I got to see the LotR dvd and we (finally!) got a dvd/vcr/tv. Yay! Let’s hope it works…
Wow. what a weekend. I got a dvd/tv/vcr player, got to watch the lotr dvd (at a friends, before I got the player), got my antique guitar appraised, went fabric shopping for my Legolas costume and found some perfect fabrics, spent the night at said friend’s apartment, and got up really frigging early to go on a 32 mile bike ride.
OMB am I sore and tired.
And I got a Legolas standup from Best Buy’s book display. Even if he has one leg, he’s life-size (I think…) and I can hold his hand, lol. I’m not obsessed. I’m using it for costume references. Really.
Oh, and I finally got some elf ears, lol. We’ll have to see how they fit 🙂

Well, I did it. I made it to the end of everything I have coherently written for my novel. From now on it will be trying to gather up the jottings from my notebooks, unfinished tales, and completely new stuff, hopefully not crap. Wouldn’t it be glorious if someday this actually got made into a novel?
I might actually get the elf-ears tonight… I know, I’m weird, live with it. Who said I had a life outside of my fantasy world?
