The bizarre things you can learn about yourself on the web:
Who’s Your Inner Rock Star?

Wow, your inner rock star is Bjork. You’ve charmed the world with your beautiful, zany, personal style. To say you’re a member of the alternative set would be a gross understatement. You and Bjork define alternative in its purest form. You’ve got nothing to prove, it’s your remarkably creative point of view that lets you make art from anything—art, music, politics—whatever makes you passionate. It’s just who you are. You’ve got the courage to experiment with your style and career, and all the while remaining positively sweet and humble. You are as much a free spirit as they come. Celebrate your inner Bjork.

Haha, guess what I did? I got MVP of the UAA indoor conference meet. I got two golds 🙂 all by myself, in the 55 m dash and the 200 m dash, rock on me. And a silver in the 4×4 (I was second leg) and 4th in the 55 hurdles. Oh well on the hurdles, I didn’t do horribly.

And the Lady Bears rocked the world with 180 points versus the second place finishers. . . whoever they were, they only had 88 (or something) points. . . ha. We rule. I heard that had we only had the jumpers compete (the three ladies happened to sweep 1-2-3 both the long and triple jumps) we would have gotten second place. Wow.

I only got to stand on the awards stand once, for the 200 m. They announced the 55 hurdle awards while I was getting ready to run the 55 dash. . . and the 55 dash while I was getting ready to run the 200. . . and the 4×4 while I was in the shower. Which was, incidentally, where I was when they announced that I had gotten MVP. How ironic is that? I can’t believe I missed getting my award. I had no idea that they would pick me! I didn’t think I had done so well, not compared to other people, but I guess so. . .

Wow. That was my last college indoor meet. Guess it was a good way to go out, huh?

Great first indoor season, Coaches Rubin and Stiles, who got Coaching Staff of the year.

Basically, we rule. Rock on Bears!

Still reading? Wow. Why don’t you comment?

Yeah, in case anyone cares, leaving for indoor track conference tomorrow. Hopefully the next message will be something about how I’ve qualified for Nationals.

*random query of the day (night)* how does my roomie get in after I do yet still make it to bed before me? Sigh.

Good night. Namaarie, quel kaima. Rimo lim, CalenhĂril!

Here is your SUPERHINT!

* Crush #1’s initials are sr

* Crush #2’s initials are ca

* Crush #3’s initials are ak

Okay, whoever these are, step up. Except #3. I know who that is. Although, he probably doesn’t have a crush on me anymore, after what happened.

Alex, I am really sorry. I just didn’t know how to handle that. I don’t want to say that I hope we can be friends, because I know you’ll always want it to be more than that, but I’d like you to not have to ignore me. I’m sorry.

So I am clueless about #1 and #2. And is the “secret admirer” one of these guys? Come on, just tell me. You could even comment on this post and give me a hint, at least.

Etoiline: still trying to apply to grad schools

Etoiline: took the GRE and did very well

Etoiline: or did I tell you that already?

DixieChicken2002: nope, didn’t know that

DixieChicken2002: see, you’re so smart

Etoiline: yeah well, not quite as smart as some other people

Etoiline: but the GRE proved that I am a math impaired engineer

DixieChicken2002: so? there will always be someone better or smarter (and that’s true of everyone) – you are fabulous in your own right

DixieChicken2002: riiiiiight

DixieChicken2002: math impaired engineer is like a fat model

DixieChicken2002: it doesn’t exist

Etoiline: I got a 720 on the verbal (97 percentile) and 700 analytical (85 percentile) but a 610 on math (53 percentile

Etoiline: it does

DixieChicken2002: nuh-uh!

Etoiline: I scored about 100 points below the average math score for engineers

Etoiline: sigh

Etoiline: whatever

Etoiline: I hopefully won’t be doing the math

Etoiline: just the design

DixieChicken2002: see, the analytical is very important – and unlike other engineers, you will be able to communicate your findings (given your 97th %’ile on the verbal) where the other ones will be stuck with their tounges tied

DixieChicken2002: they will sit there with all the information in the world and not know how to communicate it effectively – and meanwhile, you will be getting their job offers

DixieChicken2002: HA HA! Jennifer is right! Listen to me!!!!!

DixieChicken2002: oh, dear – I scare myself sometimes – but I stand by everything else I’ve said except for that last thing with the haha.

Etoiline: you are too funny

I love Jenn 2. I wish she was here.

You are so nice to me and you make my ego helplessly big.

Hotmail MessageToo often we don’t realize

what we have until it is gone;

Too often we wait too late to say

“I’m sorry I was wrong.”

Sometimes it seems we hurt the ones

we hold dearest to our hearts;

And we allow foolish things

to tear our lives apart.

Far too many times we let

unimportant things into our minds;

And then it’s usually too late

to see what made us blind.

So be sure that you let people know

how much they mean to you;

Take that time to say the words

before your time is through.

Be sure that you appreciate

everything you’ve got

And be thankful for the

little things in life

that mean a lot.

Today’s Virgo Horoscope

August 23 – September 22

You might not like doing it, but right now it’s necessary for you to serve those who demand your obedience. Giving in to their wishes now will make the later surprise of your rebellion that much sweeter. While plotting your revenge, give yourself more time to decide whether you really want to follow through on such a drastic idea. When there is this much going on, it’s easy to get caught up in a revolution without really thinking about what you’re fighting for.

Romance

Believe it or not, Virgo, the fantasies that have hold of you now are not all that far from coming true. Even though things will not pan out exactly as you have been imagining lately, they’re moving in that general directions. Make sure you recognize the romantic gifts you’re given.

Technical

There’s more than one good way to get things done. Abandoning a tried-and-true method is hard, but you’ll get yourself into a rut if you don’t. Jump on an idea that may seem strange.

Romance?? One would hope. Sigh. Maybe Billy’s had a change of heart and will stay here over break. Yeah right.

And I got a e-card from a “secret admirer” and then an email from Crushlink saying I had a secret admirer! Where is this coming from? And I am so clueless. If you like me, tell me straight out, damnit! Although I admit to being a coward in that regard too. Oh well. Don’t you want to comment on this, mr (I hope) secret admirer? And this better not be someone playing a joke on me. I really hate practical jokes.
