1. How long have you had a weblog? *consults blog archives* since November 20, 2001. I remember how excited I was when I realized I could have a site that was updated everyday (or something like that) with rather little effort on my part. I had to look long and hard before I dound something that would do that though!
2. What was your first post about?“Whoa, this is cool ” and the other four messages in the same vein. Then after going to sleep at 3 am before thanksgiving break, I griped that my asp forum wasn’t working and how I had to write a electromagnetics paper over break but I got good food.
3. How many changes (name, location, etc.) of your weblog have there been, if more than one? Well, I have two blogs, cause I just couldn’t part with the blogspot one. I really should move it to etoiline.com, or even all over to gm like the one at etoiline.com, but I’m just too lazy. Besides, blogspot is easier to post with.
4. What CMS (content management system) do you use? Do you like it or do you want to try something else? As noted above, I use blogspot for free, and greymatter for etoiline.com. I always wanted greymatter, but until I bought my domain, I didn’t have cgi capability. I like it, but I haven’t even scratched the surface of what’s possible with it.
5. Do you read people who have both a journal and a weblog? Or do you prefer to read people who have all of their writing in one central place? umm, well, I don’t really care. I don’t think I’d read just a list of links, but all text is boring. I think I have a little bit of both.

it’s rather beautiful here tonight. I can hear the crickets outside over the rush of the air conditioning. And Dave Matthews on the radio. makes me a little lonely.
Mom insisted that I go to this young alumni thing after work. It was alright, I had a drink and talked to some other new engineering graduates, (I think I should have known them, but oh well. I realize I spent a lot of time buried in a fantasy novel.) but I got there with only an hour left, and they pretty much all left when it was 8 oclock. ah to have friends.
Gaah. how pathetic.
Just saw Keeping the Faith, though. A sweet movie. I laughed quite a bit, I needed to do that.
am queen of picking colonies. picked 3 plates in two and a half hours. course, plates not full size. will have to find new job in a month. still haven’t gone camping.

Standardso I found out I probably won’t have a job during the year, because money’s so tight at the lab. Seriously, the account that pays me has no money so she’d have to switch me over to another account for the last month of the summer. Ah well. Three months of this and I have plenty to buy a new computer. I just have to get some kind of job so I can get a monthly check so I can get rid of the large mountain of student loan debt. Ugh.
Talked to PI, obviously, and was rather proud that I didn’t sound too dumb. I even sort of know what I’m talking about. If only I could understand totally. I still get the feeling that I am so far down the knowledge ladder that everyone else is ten storeys above me. Can we say insecure much?
and it’s rather amusing how I keep having to remember things about my ex because my friends are asking.
Will someone just pay me to be a web designer already? I love doing it… oh, wait, I *am* being paid to be a web “developer”, except I haven’t had anything to do with the SEAS website since the middle of June… no, I mean, pay me to make your layouts, set up your site, etc. To all my friends, this does not apply to you, I love you and would help you out anyway, but donations cheerfully accepted.
just thought I’d share because I have become a bit of the blog-setup girl for some of my friends. I really don’t mind.
